Prophetic Flow

Berry Picking

One early spring day I took my grand kids berry picking, during this process I realized something. All of the berries that were ripe for picking were very close to the ground. It was like I could hear God.

The Picture of the dark juicy berries so close to the ground represent people who are full or mature in the ways of the Spirit, they tend to be more down to earth and eager to share the wisdom they have recieved on high.

The berries that stood so high and mighty at the top of the vines were not so sweet, even sour, and lacked the beautiful rich color of the lower berries. They seem to represent people in high positions who lack the maturity of being sweet to others.

God's goodness is what leads a man into repentance.

It is not our job to judge or punish but only to give out the goodness that God has so lovingly given to us.

The Shallow End

I was in Venezuela,South America when our group planned a trip to the beach one day to enjoy the country and it's richness. Just like the post cards there it was... beautiful white sands and towering palms trees, crystal blue waters everything in it's universal place!

Immediately we prepared ourselves to play in the salty wet waves of the beach waters. I waded into the slightly choppy shore line until I was in the deepest part that I could safely float where I enjoyed the cool breeze, the sea gulls flying above and the occasional fish jumping about out of the water. How wonderful, how great, is our God who created these wonders just for our pleasure.

Later, I was compelled to go back to the shore and just sit in the shallow part of the shore.I obeyed and when I sat down a wave came crashing over my head and before I could get up to recover 2-3-4 more waves came crashing down over my head rendering me disoriented. I tried to stand up to get my bearings but I could not tell which way was up or is that which was down? Before I figured that out several more waves came crashing down over me. I could not see because salty water was in my eyes and I could not scream because salty water kept pouring down my throat. I finally rolled my body toward the sandy shore and pulled my exhausted body on the warm white sands. What was that all about?.. I asked myself.

Later I waded back into the deeper part of the waters as I was floating  quietly and taking in the scenery ...God spoke.

When ever I am not going deep in him thru reading or meditating I will find myself shallow and caught up in every problem and knocked down by every situation not able to concentrate on Him. When I am in the deep the same waves come thru like in the shallow end but it is only manifested as a soft swell and I am just propelled over them as I stay floating in His deep protection.It was true! Whenever I am doing His will I am not distracted by life's ups and downs, actually I hardly notice them.

Another Level

In Venezuela there are several mountains we had to go down. One mountain to get to the beach and up one to get to the German village that was ridiculously at the top of one mountain.

One thing I noticed on these mountains whether going up or down there were noticeable differences in the climate when we changed altitude. On one level or altitude, I noticed a significant drop in the temperature. Another level thick clouds and mist. Another... smoldering heat and then the process started all over again until we made it to our destination.

In between those altitude changes there was stable weather until the next altitude.

 The scenery was magnificent and the different smells of fruit and vegetation were hypnotic.

Sometimes hard times represent us going the next level of our walk so be encouraged and enjoy the journey.  

Hurricane

Life is like a hurricane it is full of debris and chaos tossing you to and fro, but there is an EYE of the hurricane that if you are in it you would not know that 5 miles down the road is mass destruction. In life we must stay in the eye of the hurricane or we will be caught up into the chaos. Know that the eye represents the place where Peace and God's Presence is. We must center ourselves and focus on the Peace/Presence not the chaos. Then and only then we can experience true peace because there will always be hurricanes here and there in our lives but God is always the Present Peace.
