Prophet vs. Seer

The prophet/seers are different yet the same. The prophet may hear from God and speak the words or even see visions, dreams or pictures and use them to say what they feel God is saying.

 Prophets are God mouthpieces they command an audience even when they are just sitting drinking coffee. They make you stop in your tracks and say "I perceive you are a prophet!"

 They can become very critical after awhile because they know too much about the human kind and are just feed up with us.

They, like the other entire gift, cannot see what's happening in their own house 'sometimes' because of the distraction of what they are hearing around them.

Prophets have to be careful because their gift is so out there and passionate.

Prophets have to lean on their spiritual ears so much that they seem to be transparent, vulnerable and sensitive all at the same time. Some people mistake that passion and sensitivity for lust/love. They fall in love with them and soon the prophets have followers/groupies.

This is a hard office to be in and at the same time the most sought after.

Prophets are criticized and persecuted for what they say. They are not allowed to be flawed or human. This gift can be a blessing and a curse.

 Seers usually can sense, hear, smell, and taste what is in the atmosphere. They can know things just by walking pass or touching an object. They see the future but can not predict it; they try to put the future picture into words but have a difficult time getting people to see what hasn't happened yet.

It is hard for the seer to tell the difference between what is now and what's future. Hence, seers can be very impatient people. After learning to deal with and understand this gift, the seers become very patient and wise.

A lot of times the prophet and seer are the same. Sometimes the difference is distinct.

My mom is not a prophet but she will sense something like 'buy this guitar', not knowing that I just said last month, to my husband, that I wanted to take up guitar. Next thing you know she's at a garage sale and she senses my desire and knew to buy it for me, like she says, "for a whole $6 bucks!"

This is so like the way my mom is... until it's second nature to her and she is mostly unaware that she is operating in 'seer mode'.

Teacher vs. Interpreter

Teachers have the ability to gather lots of information and put the info into terms where others can understand and learn from it. Teachers have a way about them; they seem to always be in teacher mode. They tend to shake their finger at you when they talk. After every event they ask you 'what did you get out of it or what did you learn from this’?

Teacher dress like the season. Men wear crazy ties. Women wear vests with pumpkins, snowmen, or sunflowers. They are cheery and get everyone motivated about whatever the big project is at the moment. Teacher has the biggest hearts!

Interpreters are people who notice patterns and can put them into words. They seem to always know stuff. Give them an object they have never seen before and they will pretty much tell you what it's for. They are body watchers. They can understand different cultures and languages without knowing the language. They can go to any country and survive. The can pick up on cultures just like that! They tend to be 'know it all'. Never go to a movie with them because they tend to spoil the plots, predict the endings and see all the loose ends that were not tied.

They try to fit in but people don't like being x-rayed every time they have a conversation with them. Interpreters are moved by seasons they change at the slightest hint of a temperature change.

They pick up moods in the room and can immediately know what is being said or how a person feels. Interpreters are sometimes like seers and they can sense a change. They can tell people but since it hasn't happened yet; people don't pay the any attention. Interpreters thru the years learn to become quiet observers.

Discerners vs. Empaths

Discerners are people who walk around with their antennae always raised. They seem to be aware and can sense danger from a mile away, like they can smell something that no one else can smell. They take simple puzzles and almost solve them before you can get your pencil to the page. They are always looking sideways like that man on CSI Miami. Like Colombo. They are the detectives of the gifts. Spiritual octopus' nothing can get pass them. 

Empaths can walk in a room and pick up the mood in the atmosphere.

They can't drive in traffic because they feel all of the road rage around them and they become angry and miserable.

They must learn to separate their feelings from the outside emotions they are sensing. To see an Empath is almost comedy.

Empaths (like my sister) may go to work, she says she can't concentrate and she is so unorganized. She feels inadequate and overwhelmed sometimes. Now earlier this year she was saying that this job was so unorganized and chaotic at times. I realized that she was picking up her surrounding problems and identifying with them as her own.

When I mention to her that maybe she was empathic, it was like a light went on! Now she thinks back on all those times in her life and sees where she was only reacting and not acting out. When an Empath realizes who they are they are empowered. Like superman they now know whose hurting and here they come to the rescue!
